The Presidential Commission for Women will:
1). Outline strategies to create a positive environment for women faculty, staff and students. Such an environment should ensure women an equal opportunity to develop professionally.
2). Delineate a policy which encourages administrators to outline their goals and objectives toward improving the environment for women. Plans should include steps to minimize harassment and discrimination, such as:
3). Work with University offices to construct incentives for administrators to improve the environment for women.
4). Periodically help review personnel policies and regulations for their impact on women.
5). Continue to recommend and support actions to improve the environment for women on campus, as needed, and will help support (sometimes financially) general University-wide efforts to improve the climate for women when the activities address identified concerns.
6). Serve in an advisory capacity to the President and other University administrators.
